At Genius Authors LLC, we respect intellectual property rights and expect our clients and partners to do the same. This Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) Policy outlines how we handle copyright complaints related to our website and services.
If you believe your copyrighted work has been used in a way that constitutes copyright infringement on our platform, please review the information below and follow the outlined process.
Understanding the DMCA
The DMCA provides copyright holders with a legal avenue to request the removal of content that allegedly infringes on their rights. You can find official guidance from the U.S. Copyright Office here.
This policy is not legal advice. We recommend consulting an attorney to better understand your rights and responsibilities before submitting a DMCA notice or counter-notice.
Your Responsibility
By submitting a DMCA takedown request:
- You certify, under penalty of perjury, that the information provided is accurate.
- You acknowledge the seriousness of the claim—false notices may result in civil liability or criminal penalties.
- You confirm that you’ve investigated the claim and that the use is not permitted under copyright exceptions (such as fair use).
Please do not submit automated takedown notices or use bots. Only trained professionals should evaluate and submit claims.
Before You File a Notice
If you can, try reaching out to the content owner directly. Many disputes can be resolved quickly without legal intervention.
